![]() ![]() So as you can see, hacks are usually about grabbing in game data that isn't usually "visible" to you and using it to your advantage (aimbots). But sometimes it is if the game is poorly designed. This is a very simple example and it's not always that easy to produce a hack for a game. And then inside your game you can see that your gold keeps going up on screen even though you're not doing anything in the game at all. Maybe you could download a hack that just keeps sending data from your computer to the server telling the server that you just picked up some gold on the ground. So for instance, say you're playing an MMORPG in this game you have to press a button to pick up gold on the ground after you kill a monster. ![]() Most hacks work in similar ways, but to take this even further, some game servers don't do a very good job of validating what the game client is sending them. Some games have anti-cheat features that try to prevent bots and other processes from doing this and that's why some games are easier to write "hacks" for than others. To expand on this a bit, usually to get this player information from the game the bot has to "attach itself" to the game in some way. This is pretty much spot on and dumbed down to a relatively understandable level.
